Heya all,
Been a bit quiet lately. Busy busy busy. The summer camp has started and my classes have doubled in size and frequency. I have mostly kindergarten classes, so after a day of dancing, jumping and running around with the little darlings….and a few pints here and there in the evening, little time remains to do anything but sleep. :)
The graduation performance was a big hit with parents and kids alike. We danced the Hokey Pokey together. I’ve posted some pics of Vicky’s class and the performance below.
Rita’s class did a mini version of the Lion King, complete with sound effects and animal suits. Pics added below. They were absolutely adorable in their little lion and wolf (aka hyena) suits.
Am very glad that all the performances are over for a while. No need to dance or sing for a few months. Weyhey! :)
I’m slowly expanding my group of friends here. Very varied group: Americans, Canadians, Ozzies, Belgians, Dutchies, Mexicans, New Zealanders and ofcourse Chinese. We try to organise some evenings out and do some stuff as a group.
Last week we went to a Korean BBQ. The food was absolutely lovely. Ate wayyyy too much as usual…darn this country is bad for my waistline! :)
Jorge owns our local hangout La Luna. He organised a funny hat party. First prize for a funny hat was a pitcher of beer. My gorgeous penguin hat ( penguin wearing cool pink saunglasses!) won first prize. And yes, I’m crosseyed in the picture…you try to take a picture of yourself wearing a huge hat and tryng to get it all in there :)
Nothing much happening otherwise. Am truly settled in by now. Actually, today is my 3 month anniversary in China :) Boy, time flies when you’re having fun!
Right, twas short but sweet. Am gonna head off to go out for dinner to celebrate my anniversary and then out for a few pints :)
Till next time!!
